APIS / PeakAvenue Boosts Its Chinese Presence to Support Enterprises’ Global Strategies

Recently, APIS, world‑leading provider of FMEA‑based quality management software, part of PeakAvenue, announced to further strengthen its presence in the Chinese market.

Drawing on globally proven quality and risk management methodologies, mature and robust software products, and tailored professional services, the company delivers rigorous quality and risk control solutions for domestic and overseas companies, providing comprehensive support for their expansion across China and worldwide markets.

Expanded Product Portfolio to Cover the Entire Product Lifecycle

Globally renowned for its FMEA software, APIS maintains an extensive customer footprint across Europe, North America and China. Boasting over four decades of proven experience, proprietary technical know‑how and high‑performance software solutions, it holds expertise in the automotive, electronics, machinery, medical and many other sectors. Short for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, FMEA software serves as a core tool to ensure safe and reliable product operation by mitigating or even eliminating risks of system failures.

Following its acquisition by PeakAvenue in 2025, APIS has become an integral part of PeakAvenue’s multi‑product platform. Its Chinese subsidiary will significantly upgrade its product lineup and service offerings, delivering engineering and quality management software spanning the full product lifecycle - from R&D conceptualization, engineering design, process planning, production assembly, testing and validation, product launch to after‑sales support. Its portfolio includes well‑established software brands such as Plato, iqs, Isograph and Osseno.

From initial concept to market rollout, PeakAvenue’s software solutions support every phase of the product lifecycle. Built on end‑to‑end methodologies, standardized workflows and the digital thread that intelligently connects data, cross‑functional teams and decision‑making processes, these solutions specifically address deep‑rooted risk factors in engineering and quality management. They also tackle key data management priorities including long‑term transparency, standardization and traceability, via modules such as Requirement Management, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA).

People‑Centered Growth: Strengthening the China Team

Amid corporate integration and transition, APIS China has appointed a new Chairman of the Board: Mr. Michael Wagner, Director of Sales APAC and Global Partner Relations, at PeakAvenue. With deep‑rooted expertise in the automotive industry, Michael is highly optimistic about China’s market potential. “In the past, clients adopted FMEA software primarily to meet compliance requirements,” he noted. “Today, they proactively seek broader application and consulting support for quality and risk management software. This shift underscores massive untapped potential in China, where APIS can offer critical support for local enterprises pursuing global expansion and digitization.”

Andreas Dietz, former CEO of APIS China, will remain a member of the board of APIS China to support and advise with his profound experience of the Chinese market, with expanded responsibilities covering business development for APIS across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Andreas led the entire process of conceptualizing, planning and establishing APIS China. Launched amid the COVID‑19 pandemic against tough market headwinds, APIS China faced significant operational hurdles in its early days. Under Andreas’s leadership, a new local general manager Leo Wang was brought on board. Andreas took hands‑on charge as the key leader of the China business, together with his China team delivered remarkable sales performance within a short timeframe: he not only recouped all initial investments for the German headquarters but also secured healthy profits.

Currently a founding partner of SFK IIoT Hub, APIS has earned widespread recognition from domestic and international enterprises. “Talent is our greatest asset,” Andreas emphasized. “APIS’s success in China hinges on strong teamwork, aligned business values and philosophies, and a commitment to hands‑on dedication and long‑term investment.”
